Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 1, 2026
This policy explains what data this TakeOps instance collects, how it is used and what your rights are. TakeOps is open-source, self-hosted software; whoever administers this instance is responsible for the data processed in it.
Data we collect
Account data: name, email address and profile picture, received from Google when you sign in with your Google account, or only your email address when you sign in with an emailed link.
Content you and your team add: ideas, productions, scripts, scenes, shoots, takes, comments, file links and other work records.
Technical data: a session cookie to keep you signed in, your language preference and the history of actions within each production.
Data received from Google
Google sign-in requests only the basic openid, email and profile scopes. We use this data solely to identify you, create your account and show your name and picture to your team.
We do not access Gmail, Google Drive, Calendar, contacts or any other data in your Google account. We do not sell it, use it for advertising or transfer it to third parties.
Use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
How we use data
To authenticate you, grant access to the workspaces you belong to, show who is responsible for each stage, deliver in-app notifications and, where applicable, email you a sign-in link.
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling or training artificial intelligence models.
Sharing
Your name, email, picture and the content you add are visible to members of the workspaces you belong to. Each workspace is isolated from the others.
Data is stored on this instance's server and database. It may pass through infrastructure providers (hosting and email delivery) only to run the service, or be disclosed when required by law.
Cookies
We only use essential session and sign-in security cookies. We do not use analytics or advertising cookies.
Retention and deletion
Data is kept while your account exists. Sessions expire on their own. When you request account deletion, we remove your account data and Google tokens; work content in a workspace may remain with the team that owns it.
You can revoke TakeOps' access to your Google account at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Your rights
Under applicable data protection law, such as Brazil's LGPD or the GDPR, you may request confirmation, access, correction, portability and deletion of your data, as well as information about sharing. Use the contact below.
Security
Access is over HTTPS, no passwords are stored, and each workspace only sees its own data. No system is fully immune to failures; if an incident affects your data, we will let you know.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version; relevant changes will be announced in the app.
